Irving Munn | CFP®

For more than 30 years, Irv Munn has been helping individuals and families make confident, well-informed financial decisions. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and president of Munn Gray & Associates, he brings a blend of financial planning expertise, tax knowledge, and real-world experience that clients value and trust.

Before focusing exclusively on financial planning, Irv spent many years as a certified public accountant and president of Irving Munn, P.C., a public accounting firm he later sold to devote his full attention to wealth management. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses, a Texas life and health insurance license, and frequently speaks on business, tax, and financial planning topics.

Background and Education

Irv began his academic journey at UCLA, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He later received a Master of Public Health in Health Administration from the University of Texas and completed his accounting studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. His diverse educational background gives him a unique perspective on both the financial and human sides of planning.

Get to Know Irv

Irv and his wife, Cindy, have been married for 50 years and love spending time with their growing family. Their son, Jeff, lives in Austin and works as Director of Marketing for Image Access Corp. while also pursuing his passion for music. Their daughter, Kim, lives in Arvada, Colorado, where she serves as Director of Program Operations for We Care Solar, a nonprofit bringing reliable lighting and power to health clinics across Africa and Asia. Jeff’s wife, Robyn, is Director of Marketing & Communications for the University of Colorado Law School, and Kim’s husband, Zach, is Director of Sales Engineering for SS&C Technologies Holdings.

With a strong belief of giving back to the community, Irv volunteers with several non-profit organizations. He is a past president of both the Jewish Family Service Foundation and the Temple Shalom Endowment Fund and remains actively engaged with these organizations among others.

When he’s not working with clients or volunteering, Irv enjoys music, travel, sporting events, and time with his grandchildren—Charlie, Joey, Henry, and Rosie. He also plays golf and hopes to eventually enjoy it.
