Financial Advisor Emeritus
Jeff Kort | MBA
Jeff Kort’s team focuses on helping clients plan for each of life’s transitions, from family and career changes to sending kids to college, planning for retirement and more.
As a 24-year telecom veteran, Jeff credits Sprint for providing him with a client-first focus, and with the experiences of a wonderful career managing finance, marketing and sales organizations in Kansas City, Atlanta, and Dallas.
We leverage a team approach for client management to recognize the synergies of individual expertise throughout the practice. The objective is to enhance and preserve your investments to meet your individualized goals. This, in addition to the team’s distinctive, proprietary investment process, focuses on reducing risks, addressing underperformance, and minimizing losses when markets drop.
Background and Experience
Born in Kansas City, and an adopted native of Dallas for 25+ years, Jeff graduated from Indiana University with an accounting degree and earned his CPA while with Coopers & Lybrand. Jeff also earned both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Certificate in Financial Planning. Jeff is also a graduate of Leadership Richardson, a unique program that allows the participants to enhance personal and organizational leadership as they relate to community trusteeship.
Personal Life
On his days off, Jeff relishes his roles as a Sunday school teacher; Merit badge counselor for Boy Scout Troop 444 at Arapaho FUMC; serves on the Prestonwood Homeowners Association Board; and is an active member of Temple Shalom.
Married for nearly 30 years, Jeff and Kimberly love theater, sports, dining, and traveling (together). Their children, Dylan and Sydney, are their greatest joys. Dylan graduated from Baker University and is a Director in the Food Service Industry, and Sydney is studying to become a licensed physical therapist.
