Financial Advisor
Philip Orwig | CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, RICP®
Phil is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and has been helping his clients plan for retirement and manage their investments since 2010. Phil joined the firm in 2011 after beginning his career with LPL Financial.
Phil entered this business to make a positive impact on the lives of others, partnering with individuals and families to help address their financial problems and achieve their goals through comprehensive planning and education. Following the fiduciary standard on advisory accounts, Phil advises many dozens of employees & executives from some of DFW’s leading companies – including Texas Instruments, Raytheon, American Airlines, and more – and helps coordinate a strategy for employee benefits, investments, equity compensation, and income.
While Phil serves many individuals and families on the precipice of retirement, he is passionate about helping his younger clients use money as a tool to enjoy life today, while still planning responsibly for tomorrow. Phil assists young professionals – a demographic traditionally shunned by financial advisors due to a relative lack of assets – in many areas, including strategizing on how to best tackle student loan debt, save for a house, fund a child’s education, or provide protection for his or her family. These meetings are as gratifying as anything Phil does with Munn Gray & Associates.
Education
Phil graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2004 and is a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. He finds great satisfaction in giving back to the community and counts the Dallas Arboretum, YMCA Dallas, and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as causes near and dear to his heart.
Personal Life
When Phil is not working with clients or giving back to the community, he enjoys competing in long-distance running events. Although Phil has raced in full marathons, and even an ultra-marathon, his favorite discipline is the half-marathon, as it requires speed, endurance, and strategy. Phil’s greatest joy in life is spending time with his wife Sarah, daughter Molly, and Boston Terriers Maddy & Remy.
